Kat enjoys spending time with her family including her little boy who was born in 2021, she loves music, playing the guitar, traveling, keeping fit and is a qualified advanced open water scuba diver.
Kat graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2012 after completing a degree in Biomedical science (BSc) and her degree in Dental Surgery (BDS).
She started her career working in General Dental Practice in Merseyside before becoming a hospital dentist where she worked as a Senior House Officer (SHO) in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. This role provided extensive experience in paediatric dentistry, surgical extractions and the management of dental and facial trauma. During her time as an SHO, Kat completed a postgraduate diploma in dental surgery.
Kat then spent a few years living and working in Queensland, Australia as a General Dentist but also working for the Queensland Health Service providing dental care to patients with severe anxiety and complex medical problems.
Kat is a keen lifelong learner and completed her Masters degree (MSc) in Advanced Restorative Dentistry in 2021.
Kat is interested in all areas of dentistry but especially enjoys restorative and aesthetic dentistry with a particular focus on Biomimetic Dentistry which is less invasive than traditional dentistry and focuses on rebuilding teeth with materials that simulate the natural dentition as much as possible. Kat provides a range of cosmetic treatments including Invisalign and smile makeovers with digital smile design composite bonding and porcelain veneers.
Kat is also interested in facial aesthetics and is qualified to provide anti-wrinkle injections and dermal fillers.
Dr Ryan is happy to accept referrals for complex restorative and aesthetic dental cases including the management of worn teeth.
